The staff were especially lovely, friendly and accommodating. As a female staying alone (for work) I felt fully safe and looked after by every staff member I came across, they couldn’t do enough for me. Had a gorgeous meal for dinner, breakfast was equally lovely. The view from my room was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable.

Just what it says on the tin - TRANQUIL. Ideal location with supermarkets within a 10 minute drive. Everything you need and more in a lovely apartment which is tastefully decorated, and with some local art taboot. Lots of lovely walks and places to eat within a short drive and a very lovely, attentive host! Perfect!

    It had all the amenities that are required, we could not explore as much as we would have liked as the limited time we had and the fact the kids were in tow. I would like to return and do and see more.

    I liked that it was on two floors, with bedroom and bathroom...

    I liked that it was on two floors, with bedroom and bathroom upstairs. The bed was really big and the bedding was of very high quality. The property is in the countryside but easy to find and it is only a few miles to Cockermouth, inother words, it is great for access to a variety of places. The owners (next door) are friendly and helpful.
