We arrived early and were welcomed. The weather was awful - Middleham had had a good downfall of snow overnight, albeit a little early. We enjoyed a drink in the bar area whilst our room was ready. Our room was spotlessly clean, with an excellent view of Middleham Castle. We enjoyed a pre-dinner drink in the bar where we met Fiona - the proprietor. What a lovely lady. Our meal was excellent - could not be faulted. After a restful night's sleep, we were delighted to see that the snow has disappeared. Breakfast was absolutely scrumptious. It certainly set us up for the rest of today - Sunday 24th. Very nice to see the race horses being exercised. Fiona explained that Middleham is the Newmarket of the North - many riding stables in the area. Another visit is a MUST. Next time we will take our dog with us to meet Fiona!!

We had a fantastic 3 nights here, using Aysgarth as our base. We walked to the Falls and through St Andrew's Church from here. If the weather had been a little better, we would have walked to Bolton Castle. (Well worth a visit) The breakfast and dinners were great! Loved my first ever Yorkshire Pudding! Our unit was a good size, very clean, fast wifi with good parking. We would highly recommend.

Stayed overnight on New Years Eve. Absolutely delicious meal in the pub, very high quality. Pub was busy with a good atmosphere. Room was recently renovated and was lovely. Comfy bed, clean room and good facilities. Breakfast was good, served by a lovely friendly lady. Can't fault anything.

Wonderful stay and fantastic hosts. Leyburn is very central and therefore a good location to explore the Yorkshire Dales. Parking is free and the room was very clean. Will return for sure. Can recommend to join the pub quiz.

This was a great spot to stay in the Yorkshire Dales. The property is well maintained and host was extremely helpful providing advice about where to eat, helping out with restaurant bookings, and walks in the local area. The advice was greatly appreciated. Rooms were very large and spotless. Would stay here again!

A wonderful hotel/guesthouse, with a lovely bar/restaurant in a beautiful tranquil countryside setting. Staff were all really friendly and obliging. We only stayed a night but will definitely be back again!
