The hotel wasn’t really suited to me with my disabilities.
The hotel wasn’t really suited to me with my disabilities. It would be better for younger and fitter people. It was a long walk to the accommodation section of the building having to walk past other amenities to get there. My request for a ground floor room wasn’t received by reception so I had problems walking to the room. Cleanliness was shoddy in places with stains on the carpet in the conservatory, and a cracked wash basin in the room. Excellent staff on breakfast duty and fully staffed. Otherwise bar and grill is not a bar , it is a VERY NOISY sports bar totally unsuitable to my needs and anyone wishing to be able to talk to their dining partner or for family dining. Ask the reception for a quiet room, mine was overlooking the M56, luckily I had some earplugs with me so that filtered out the noise. Its ok but would rate the hotel as being on the same level as a Premier Inn, it used to be a more higher rating than a Premier Inn but standards are not what they used to be. Garden City is an awful place.
Garden City is an awful place. Luckily, this hotel isn’t really in Garden City but conveniently placed just off the A55. The nearest village is Hawarden, which is lovely - pubs, farm shop, Gladstone Library. I stayed in a double room and other members of my family also had a large two double bed room. Both were very spacious. They were clean and had good facilities - great shower, fantastic size television. The bed was definitely the comfiest I have had at any hotel. The breakfast was very reasonable and had a wide variety of options to cater for all. We didn't use the leisure facilities but there were some on site.
