the breakfast was fantastic as was our dinner the night before. This place is a hidden gem! The little beer garden in the back of the hotel is adorable... The staff, Fiona the owner and Claire could not have been nicer and more accommodating! I highly recommend this 400 year old inn to anyone wanting a true Scottish experience!

The staff were amazing! Had a really great time here. We ate dinner there on both nights and the staff were outstanding. The meals were huge! Very nice family room (heaps of space) and beds were so nice. Hotel was having some minor renovations but we didn't notice any noise or disruption. Very happy to stay here again.

We really tought about this and couldn't find anything negative! We are from Finland so shower usually is a problem at outside of Finland but not here! Heat and pressure of water was just easy get and good for both of us. Thank you so much, we enjoyed a lot!

This was a beautiful historic school that was renovated as a hotel. I loved the history of this place, and enjoyed our stay even more than some of the castles we stayed at. Food and drinks at their lounge were fantastic, and their buffet breakfast was also full of great choices. It was a little hard to drive to due to road construction going on at the time. Its location is close enough to walk (it's a bit of a hill) to Stirling Castle, and you'll be walking past the Old Town Jail and Holy Rude, which are all worth a visit if you have time.
