Rooms are incredibly clean and spacious with a fabulous power shower. Breakfast was lovely and well thought out by giving you a menu card to fill out the night before so they knew what to cook for you in advance. As we travelled in August I was so pleased to see a desk fan on top of the wardrobe to provide cooler air, which made for a very pleasant nights sleep. The location is perfect for exploring the Yorkshire Dales

Mint pub with ample beer selection, brilliant food ( Chicken pie was 10/10) the service from the lad behind bar who showed me to room and around was superb a real credit to the place and a proper warm welcome! Breakfast again was epic and the lady who has worked there for 20 plus years was brilliant and very attentive! Loved every minute!

Hebden captivated our hearts from the moment we arrived. The Clarendon Country Pub made our stay absolutely perfect. The staff went out of their way to make us feel comfortable and welcome - the food was not only award-winning on paper. We had dinner and breakfast and it was the best we had on our trip. The pub and our room were just as lovely and quaint as shown on the photos. The bed was very comfortable, everything was very clean and set up with attention to detail. We were worried that it might be noisy because the room is part of a pub - but it was super quiet and we slept wonderfully. The Yorkshire Dales were right outside, waiting to be explored. We can't give enough stars for how much we enjoyed our stay.

    Breathtaking scenery.

    Breathtaking scenery. It’s like stepping back into a simpler time, the town itself is so quaint and friendly but the countryside walks are to die for. It’s like a walking through a real live painting! Highly recommend a visit and doing some walks.

    We visited for the 1940's weekend in September.

    We visited for the 1940's weekend in September. The huge amount of effort invested by the events volunteers is greatly appreciated. This year it was made harder for them by the inclement weather on day one. However, this did not dampen the visitors enthusiasm and by day two the sun was shining. Can highly recommend the hospitality - especially the tapas bar and pop up coffee shop in the church rooms. Book early for next year - you won't be disappointed :)

    Grassington is a lovely village in a great location within...

    Grassington is a lovely village in a great location within the dales. Lots of nice walks from there, especially along the river. It has plenty of shops, pubs, cafes and restaurants to choose from. A fabulous place for breakfast, the old school room (8 mins in car).

    Regrettably I did not have enough time to fully enjoy...

    Regrettably I did not have enough time to fully enjoy Grassington and the surrounding area this time as I did on my first visit. However when I visit again I will give myself more time to enjoy what I consider to be a dule and my place to go.

    Grassington is a beautiful setting in the Yorkshire dales.

    Grassington is a beautiful setting in the Yorkshire dales. The village square is idyllic, with various places to eat and drink. Just around the corner is the visitors centre, which leads to the River Wharfe, and Linton Falls. The river has walking routes in both directions, one which goes to Burnsall, a very scenic village. Grassington is good spring board, to explore the Yorkshire dales.

    Great place to stay. Lovely location.

    Great place to stay. Lovely location. Down side was no WiFi and tv didn't work. For the price we paid ,I would expect these things to work. We did get a swift response when an email was sent about the problem , but being Saturday night we decided to decline the offer of an engineer as we were tired and didn't want to inconvenience somebody. Surely these things should be checked before arrival . We did have to wait till 4pm for check in !

    The Emthwaite Escape must be the top place that my wife and I have stayed at in our long marriage. All facilities were excellent. The view from the window/garden was tranquil and spectacular. The hosts were kind enough to put milk, cold water and cans of Coke in the fridge, as well as biscuits and crisps on the table. We spent three evenings sitting on the patio area admiring the beauty that is the Yorkshire Dales. We would recommend the Escape to all who want peace and quiet.

    When we arrived, we found the parking ok and the lodge looked nice, one observation is the front would look nicer if the leaves were cleaned away from the front and steps, with a touch of colour on the furniture. We knew we were in room 6 which had a separate bathroom and found the two rooms acceptable. Grassington is a lovely village with plenty of choices to eat and drink in, plus a mini supermarket for day-to-day items, the scenery on the walks lovely

    The Hotel was lovely. The room was great, nice clean bathroom with shower, and the bed was very comfortable indeed. Great location in the centre of Grassington, and the breakfast was beautiful. The restaurant for evening meal (The Morral) was lovely aswell and not too expensive. Great portions for evening meal and breakfast. Service was great.

    I couldn’t fault the property. Competitively priced, comfortable, clean room which was full of charm in the centre of Grassington. Lots of complimentary little touches that make Ashfield House stand out from the crowd - mini brownies, fudge, Prosecco in the room. Fabulous breakfast with a great choice and very friendly staff.

    Wonderful location in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The historical Inn nestles under Arncliffe crag, a real challenge for rock climbers! It is near the lovely river Wharfe and would be a great stop for walkers exploring the area. Comfortable rooms and friendly host.
