The Cathedral interior is a gem of national heritage. The exterior needs a lot of work. A pleasant walk around Cathedral Close but driving in and out of Hereford is to be avoided during rush hour. The cathedral is amazing!
The cathedral is amazing! There are so many streets with wonderful shops and no cars allowed! My favourite being the walk to the cathedral with the bunting and the gallery shop at the end with wonderful craft pieces to buy. The cider museum is great too!Guest review bynichola - 8.0

I spent a weekend in Hereford and really enjoyed the experience. The town is lovely, with great options for food and plenty of natural surroundings to explore. I was there to visit family so I didn’t spend a lot of time exploring Hereford as I have visited before. However I like Hereford as it has a lot to investigate especially the Mappa Mundi and the Cathedral. There is a variety of restaurants to suit all tastes. We had a curry on the first night a family meal in the Cosy Club and on our last night we had fish and chips from a Chippie just round the corner from where we were staying. Lovely old buildings and fantastic cathedral. Had a great meal in a Thai restaurant. For a bank holiday , Hereford was surprisingly quiet. The Black Lion and The Orange Tree pubs are places to return to. Hereford centre itself was not very clean and tidy. I was quite surprised and disappointedGuest review byritaUnited Kingdom

We stayed two months ago when they had just taken over, and you can to see the improvements they are starting to make, for example to the dining area, and the wifi access which is now at a very good and reliable standard. As usual, all the staff at this hotel were really friendly and helpful, and a great breakfast is included in the room rate. Although the hotel is a basic one, everything was as advertised and spotless.
