The cottage was in a quiet lane but we were able to get to the pub - excellent food- and the rest of the village. We went to Sandringham as well as exploring the villages along the coast as well as doing some bird watching. The property is described as beach front - it is not as it’s a good half hour walk to the beach The property states it has a terrace with sea view - it doesn’t, it has a small courtyard to the front with no view at all!! The cottage was adequate for our stay but I felt it was overpriced as we paid slightly more because it stated it was beach front. A very distant sea, shallow with gentle breakers.
A very distant sea, shallow with gentle breakers. It's a delightful place if you like to walk on wide windy beaches and shelter in the dunes. It is spectacular being on the corner of the Wash and the North Sea. In the distance across the water you can see Lincolnshire and the wind turbines. The beach is covered with shells. People bathe here but you have to like bathing in shallow water rather than deep sea. I guess there may be some surfing sometimes. fantastic walks either to Old Hunstanton or to Thornham.Guest review bySarahUnited Kingdom
