What an unexpected surprise! Not going to lie, the lack of other available options along the Jurassic Coast took us on an hour detour to Colyton - and so happy it did! Everything is literally brand new and meticulously decorated. Genuine and warm hospitality, led by the incredible manager Sarah!

I absolutely loved everything about Louma. The food is outstanding – you can truly taste the freshness of the ingredients. The staff are incredibly kind and friendly, and the all-inclusive concept makes the whole experience so effortless, as you don’t have to worry about a thing. The wellness area is incredible, and the gym is even better equipped than my regular one! But what makes Louma truly special is the people and the place itself. It feels magical – with stunning sea views, a calming and friendly atmosphere, and impeccable yet cozy décor. Travelling with a baby, I was deeply impressed by how well-equipped Louma is for families. Everything about my stay was perfect..hosts Steve and Fiona made me feel so much at home, very comfortable and caring..even got to watch the football in their private room…breakfasts were very personalised including rhetorical music playing in the background…room was clean and fresh…pub over the road with great food, always full and lively..thank you Steve and Fiona

What a hidden gem!!!

What a hidden gem!!! We stayed in Hills farm stays which was absolutely perfect and meals were great!!! Beautiful setting in the countryside but so close to beaches around 25 minutes away. Budleigh salterton beautiful. Visit the donkey sanctuary is a must and free. Lyme Regis is quaint and definitely worth a visit. Beer was quite vibrant with a lovely beach. Exeter was perfect for shopping.

The area is beautiful with rolling hills and only a short 10 to 15 minute drive to the Jurassic Coast, the most famous location being Lyme Regis which has a lot of history and this includes having the famous writer John Fowles who wrote The French lieutenant’s woman… Which was also made into a film and they used a lot of Lyme Regis When they did the filming! Sadly, John Fowles passed away some years ago, but his original house is up the hill near the main car park!

We used the local pub a few times for meals and just drinks, with the dog each time inside and outside. Went to the local farm shop, londis shop and Greg’s. Also used the farm dairy 24 hour machine at the station car park

The cottage is very well appointed with everything you could...

The cottage is very well appointed with everything you could need to have a comfortable, cosy and relaxing stay. 2 bathrooms (downstairs bathroom could be a bit chilly for some if weather is chilly, though was fine while we were there), It’s very quiet area despite pub being in walking distance. There was no noise at all from the pub. We all slept well. All the facilites at the cottage are of a high specification. The parking could be a challenge for some people with a drop along the side of the drive but we found if we turned round in the local pub car park and made our way back (it’s only a short distance) then we had no problem. We were even allowed to parked overnight at the local pub as we were eating there and had two cars for one night. Very friendly and helpful pub with good atmosphere and good pub food - The New Inn.(The Old Inn was being refurbished during our stay). Cottage is not suitable for people with mobility issues because of the driveway and steepish stairs. There is a pull-down table which can seat 3 people and also a breakfast bar which can seat 4. Lovely dining area outside in the pretty well kept garden as well as a small seating area near the house. Great views and good for star gazers. The cottage is in a lovely relaxing area with great walks and beaches nearby and is convenient for many towns. Lyme Regis is under 20 mins drive away. The famous River Cottage and there is a nearby Farm Shop good for breakfasts. Local pub does breakfast and takeaways too. It’s such a beautiful cottage in a great location. Thank you to Tracy and Paul! We can’t wait to return!

The scenery and views were beautiful. Friendly local people. Very hard to get around via taxis you have to book well in advance for your day. We stayed at the cranberries which was great and also has a spa and lots of other great activities to take part in.
