Lerwick has so beautiful views. The town is a typical Scottish 1970s town. We visited in Mid October and found many of the eating places to be closed for a holiday. Lot of small businesses have closed. Still interesting! Quirky shops not found elsewhere. Nice eateries. Harbour area interesting. Da Lodberries iconic . Many parts identifiable from Shetland TV series. Great textile museum featuring amazing skills of knitters. Main museum remarkable given its size. Quaint unspoiled village with wonderful harbour and views. You can take local buses around if you dont have car. Beware Sunday as all closed and can’t even buy a coffee!! A beautiful part of the world that I want to go back to visit. Shetland Islands are vast and varied and I’ve only scratched the surface of seeing all of its beauty.
