I reserved for my parents and they loved it. The room was clean, large, and well kept. The staff were friendly and attentive, and they provide good service at the bar and restaurant as well. My parents really enjoyed the overall atmosphere and it was good value for money.

Went to see some friends in Newcastle-under-Lyme, and needed a place to stay. The location is fantastic, the bed was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and welcoming. Our room was facing the road, so it got a bit noisy with the cars up and down, but nothing that a pair of ear plugs couldn't help with. Knowing the area this is actually the quietest place we could get, just a light sleeper here :) We also had a bit of fun downstairs at the pub, played a bit of darts, overall it was great! What a wonderful idea, will definitely stay again when visiting friends!
