It was cheap and the location good with free car parking! However the soap dispenser was empty, the toilet was broken, lights in both the bathroom and main room were not working, electric socket were not working and television reception was appalling so could not be watched! Obviously the room 'had not been checked by anyone' for some time which is worrying. The owners have done a magnificent job of restoring this lovely old property to its former glory. The room are HUGE. Everything is spotlessly clean. There are large and comfortable common areas to work, relax and eat. There is a relaxed and friendly vibe - the owners live in the back of the property. The room was a good size with a nice view over the courtyard. The bed was extremely comfortable. Breakfast was lovely with good choices. We asked for poached eggs to go with the buffet cooked breakfast and they were cooked perfectly.
