The town had more to offer than first glance would suggest. Decent bars, cafes and good choice of restaurants. Giuseppe's, Williams, Amalfi and the Canteen - highly recommended. There are lots of high quality food shops but also supermarket 3 mins away so stress free catering Restaurants are good and within easy walking distance Scenic walks on nearby commons or cycling track are good for dogs. Nailsworth is a very large village/small town.
Nailsworth is a very large village/small town. Interesting buildings,and shops, walks by the river. A brilliant cafe in an old mill by the river that is run by an organisation training young persons who need extra help. The food and service is great. Plenty of pubs, some have entertainment too. Supermarkets, including a small Tesco that is open 6am-11pm. Communication with the hosts was great prior to our stay and we received a warm welcome when we arrived. The location is great - in the centre of Nailsworth, but set back from the road so it is peaceful. The fire was already laid for us & there were a few extra touches, including a bottle of fizz and some croissants. We took our dog & she loved it. Such a lovely location and the accommodation was perfect. Nice sized room, clean, comfortable, good bathroom and the luxury of a mini fridge.
