We opted for this location for our last 2 nights in Scotland, as we wanted to treat ourselves a bit and enjoy some quiet time. It delivered much more than that. The house can be very cosy if you enjoy its style. If not, you may find it old-fashioned. But either way, its charm it’s undeniable. The effort put into maintaining the property at this high standard is remarkable. We also dined there and the service and food were impecable.

A castle with all the facilities! Prepared to be amazed by the beautiful interiors. Bathroom was so spacious with a beautiful bath, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The surrounding area is a forest with a stream running . Bettet to spend the whole time here to enjoy the sheer beauty of it.

This hotel offers the best host i’ve ever met! So easy to deal with and helpful. No problems to store bags before check-in or after check-out, for free as well! Super convenient with the bus stop right outside (1 pound per trip!) so it doesn’t take many minutes to get to the city center. The room has everything for your basic needs and I recommend this to everyone who’s looking for a trouble-free stay in Edinburgh, with easy access to the city center but also with the calm presence of sleeping without being disturbed by loud city noises. Absolutely perfect!

I loved staying in such a historical place and sadly I was not able to explore the grounds that much as it was raining a bit. The room service was amazing and the breakfast options are superb. I was also struggling to book some taxis for some events I would have and I asked the staff before my check in and in less than 1 hour I received the confirmation of the rides and they were super on time.

I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed my stay. The room was much more spacious and clean than I anticipated, especially for the price. It was a very comfortable night, and I will absolutely be booking here again in the future.
