The hotel is incredibly beautiful. The room was very pretty and felt very luxurious. The lighting was beautiful and so was the bathroom. Everything you needed was available. The staf was very helpful, always down for a chat and available for any questions. The breakfast was big with lots of choices. Even the tableware was very photo worthy. Walking up the driveway felt like a fairytale to me. I would love to return.

When you have to take the ferry in Newcastle and are travelling from Scotland or the north in generalq, this is the perfect stop. A cosy hotel, with a very good cook in the kitchen (for breakfast as well as dinner), a comfortable room (in our case a spacious family room) and three splendid female hosts (sisters?) who divide the work and are all three kind, to the point, attentive but not tiresome overfriendly as in some other places. Just as it should be.

Spacious and newly decorated in peaceful marine tones. Separate entry so not walking through pub to get in and out of our room, more private. Close to great restaurants and pubs, had really good fish and chips at Carlos, see photos. Close to Alnwick castle where early Harry Potter movies were filmed, but go see it for the centuries of history. And watch the broom riding lessons.

    The property is located in a quiet, predominately farming...

    The property is located in a quiet, predominately farming area, so there's country lanes and fields in every direction, but it's ideally located for the Northumberland coast and the wonderful little towns and villages nearby. Whilst a car is essential the lanes would make for an excellent cycling route and this would be a great way to explore the local area. I wasn't able to eat at the property due to my travel plans, but the dining area was nice and I've no doubt the food would be very good. There are lots of places to eat in the nearby villages that serve the coastal region. With Beadnell, Seahouses and Bamburgh just a short distance away, and Alnwick less than 25 minutes, there are plenty of places to visit!

    Very cute, small and peaceful village, surrounded by lots of wonderful farm animals in the neighbouring fields. Cows, geese, Llamas & sheep. Very lovely cute cafe called Carnaby's only 2 minutes away we had breakfast in twice. Right next to the A1 so super easy and close to reach all the popular destinations in Northumberland
