Everything!! The location, the Manor House and the celebrity feeling. Everything was just out of a fairytale.. The service is prompt and the behaviour of the staff is very welcoming. We were upgraded to the luxe rooms which added to our excitement. The breakfast was a luxurious spread and the dinner at the Castle Inn and the Manor House Dining was superb. The room amenities and facilities are worth mentioning. The bathroom floor was kept heated at all times and the bath products were amazing.

I liked this hotel, a couple of miles out of Melksham. In a grand stone manor building, it is well presented with beautiful public spaces, a restaurant, and some lovely rooms. The lovely outdoor swimming pool was heated to a warm temperature which was nice. It has nice grounds to wander around in, and it was quiet at nighttime, with just the birds to wake you up. Our room on the ground floor was a quiet, cosy twin, we had enough space just to pull the twin beds apart to make some space between the beds. Great, strong shower over the bath. A fridge and tea making facilities. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant, it was very nice food. Breakfast is served in there every day. The staff were lovely and super helpful.

The location was just outside the city, making it perfectly located and so peaceful. The grounds were INCREDIBLE with secret garden areas surrounding the property. Property itself is quintessential country charm. Staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. Room itself was cozy.

Staff were lovely.

Staff were lovely. They sorted out flowers for the room as I had requested as it was our first anniversary. The breakfast was dire though. I have no idea how they can say the breakfast is rated/recommended. I had better at the Travelodge in Wakefield. No bottles of water in the room. I travel all over the world and even in the dampest mosquito infested hotel in Bangladesh, there was water. And Iraq. And Yemen. Need I go on? The room was beautiful. The house is beautiful. But £182 for that? Don't bother. Go somewhere else.
