Very pretty, picturesque, 'chocolate box' village..thatched rooved houses. Pub, shop church all within 2 minutes walking distance of each other. Ideal setting for the wedding we attended. We ate at The George pub. I had ham egg and chips. It was just OK.. not worth the money. My husband had fish and chips. It too was just OK. Not worth the money. The outside seating at the front of The George was lovely in the sunshine. Plenty seating inside and some at the back. Had private carpark. My second visit to the Bourne Valley Inn. Absolutely love the location and the staff are exceptional. The rooms are super comfortable and I couldn't have had a more pleasant stay. Will be back! Decor tired and not always welcoming; biggest disappointment was the hotel not being open for three days and cancelling our booking for the first day at 2 days’ notice , as if it’s communication systems had broken down outside the purview of Booking. When we arrived there was a gas leak- no fault of their own.
