We were absolutely delighted with our stay! My daughter and I had a wonderful experience in every way. The staff were always extremely kind and helpful, both at the reception and in the pub where we had breakfast and dinner. The food was also a lovely surprise—delicious and exactly to our taste. The place is beautiful, welcoming, and conveniently located near a bus stop, which made getting around very easy. Our room was spacious, clean, and well-equipped—we didn’t miss a thing. The bathroom was spotless, and every day we returned to find the room just as perfect as on the first day. We’re truly satisfied and have no doubt: next time we visit Manchester, we’ll definitely come back to this special place!

Booked a family room and it was huge. Fantastic flatscreen television, sofa and a mini fridge. All our needs were catered for. Plenty of little extras in the room, a great hairdryer, not a tacky cheap one like you find at some establishments. There was an iron and ironing board in the wardrobe which was handy. A very comfortable double bed and a single bed also. Bathroom was spacious with a bath and overhead shower and heated towel rail. Great facilities, a great stay! 😁

We booked the suite for the night. The room was really clean and tidy and loved the hidden bookshelf door to the bathroom. The staff are exceptional, nothing is too much for them. The food at the restaurant was fantastic as again were the staff. The breakfast was really good too. Will 100% recommend and stay again. Thank you to all the staff at The Rake

It was a perfect memory trip as we moved from Shaw 7yrs ago...

It was a perfect memory trip as we moved from Shaw 7yrs ago to Devon. It has 6 cafes to chose from, a chippy, 4 pubs, hairdressers a plenty, a Tesco metro, a large Asda, Co-op, 2 taxi firms and a tram station just a short walk up the road. Also has a theatre that shows plays and even films occasionally and live acts. There's a very nice Wetherspoons too. Perfect for us.
