We liked everything. We disliked nothing. Shide is only minutes away from Newport, the county town. Being the center of the island is ideal for all sea resorts and Newport is very close to Osborne House and closer still to Carisbrooke Castle.Guest review byAnonymous - 10.0
Excellent location for exploring the island.
Excellent location for exploring the island. It's at the outskirts of Newport, the main town of the Island. Also has a large Asda to get well priced essentials! It's busy so not for someone who seeks a quiet country retreat. Would highly recommend the The Bargeman’s Rest, Little London Quay, Newport PO30 5BS, literally minutes away from Shide in the car.
