The purpose of our visit was a family wedding, so we didn't have time to explore the town. However, we met many local residents and every one was kindness itself, often going the extra mile to help us. Shrivenham is a lovely town with some fine buildings and a host of facilities you would expect in a larger place and I look forward to returning to explore further. We stayed in a quiet, ground floor room in the annexe to the main building, which was well equipped with a very modern bathroom. There was more than adequate storage with a large wardrobe and chests of drawers with bedside lighting. The food at dinner and breakfast was delicious and plentiful. There are plenty of parking at the rear of the hotel for the guests. All staff we met were friendly and helpful.
