We arrived late at night (way past midnight actually) by coach (the coach station is 5 min from the hotel - an ideal place in the center of the city), the hotel entrance was already closed, but there were telephone number where to call and a very kind staff came quickly and let us in. We had a very clean and spacious enough twin room with private bathroom on the 3rd floor facing inner court. It was very quiet, well furnished and decorated with historical artefacts and prints from the past of the building which gave a special feeling. The bed was ultra comfortable and the shower had two different, convenient functioning heads. The room has a small niche for coffee and tea appliances - selected teas, coffees and chocolate, milk available for an early morning cup, as well as fridge, ironing board and a safe. A special notice for the very polite and courteous staff. Thank you, Telegraph Hotel, for maintaining such a high standard of hospitality.

We were just looking for a place to sleep on our way south from visiting historic castles and such, and were not expecting to sleep in such an ancient and beautiful building, but then this abbey popped up on our radar that night, and captured our imaginations instantly. And we were not disappointed. Amazing end to a fantastic day. Would have been cool in a building like this if the hotel offered an option for experiencing something scary in the middle of the night, as if the house was haunted or something like that, if specifically requested when booking. Perhaps the TV could be set to turn on suddenly and wake us up, and when we react by turning it off, it triggers some further spookiness, like a figure flying past our window or walking the garden beneath the window. Perhaps drawing us out of our rooms to sneak down the stairs chasing some mystery. But nah, would probably not make for a restful night haha. And might be hard to pull off without disturbing other guests, anyway.

What a nice place to stay Suburban Birmingham! Big clean rooms in an english styled Hotel. Nice restaurant and Bar, huge pool and Fitnessarea (used by locals too). Free Parking area in front of the hotel! We come back next year for sure!

    Available and convenient, but poor condition, tired...

    Available and convenient, but poor condition, tired facilities and not as described. The front door key just goes round and round and takes maybe 5 mins to “catch” and actually open the door. The kitchen is very poor and far from the fully equipped kitchen in the description - no bread knife, random crockery, and a very dirty cooker hood. Also the milk bottle shelf in the fridge door unclipped when I opened the door and spilt a 4 pint milk carton onto the kitchen floor, along with a soup carton etc. No toilet rolls, and the bedding is clean but the pillows are stale and sweaty. Messaged the owner, quick response but no action - sounds similar to a previous review months back

    This place is very dirty and unfit for people to stay in plus the landlord is a thief. Got there and he refused to take his call, cancelled and he still took our money. Regret ever booking here. If there was a worse review than 0 I’d give him that. Thieves! Stay away from them.

    We found the property comfortable .

    We found the property comfortable . The owners provided everything we needed. We would love to have spent more time there as our schedule was quite busy. I have already recommended it to people in Coventry if they have anyone coming to visit in the future .
