The recent refurb has made all the difference. The hotel is now smart, modern and comfortable. The staff went out of their way to be helpful. We enjoyed our dinner in the bar and breakfast in the restaurant. We'll definitely be back.

74 years ago I returned to the UK on the Empire Orwell, and to live in Hamilton Road in Lincoln. In my search I could only pick the Orwell Hotel. The hotel lived up to my expectations, well used but clean and tidy. The staff were great providing a standard of service seldom seen in todays world. my visit would have been perfect had not the restaurant been closed

Beautiful apartment in an excellent location, right next to Harwich beach. Easy to reach by car (parking on the street in front of the house was no problem) and an easy 10-15 minute walk from Harwich Dovercourt train station. The house is lovely, clean and comfortable. Our host Sue was very easy and pleasant to communicate with and it was very easy to access the house.
