Spacious rooms, excellent public rooms. Lunch in the bar was excellent as was the included breakfast. All the staff we interacted with were chereful and helpful. Our 4th visit when in the area so despite the negatives we love this hotel.

Our pod was so cute, warm & welcoming for our w.e break! It had everything we needed & the beds & bedding were so snug! We also had our own immaculate bathroom a short stroll away. The site and utilities are very well organised. Tim, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. Lynda, the campsite manager was equally lovely.     Spotlessly clean room. Easy to book in. A longish walk to our room and a lift was available to take us down to the right corridor. Staff helpful in both bar and restaurant. We dined in the restaurant Food excellent and not over priced. Happy atmosphere. Uckfield town was busy there is plenty to do and see in the area

    We were in Buxted but the Town of Uckfield very near for...

    We were in Buxted but the Town of Uckfield very near for independent and individual shops. We wanted a nearly retreat and already live in East Sussex so knew the area which has good connections to. Other areas of interest. Buxted Park is a great place for a Country wedding and there’s a Church on site, goats and wildlife in abundance along with dog walks and places to lose yourself. Secluded and peaceful.

    The hosts were attentive.

    The hosts were attentive. The facilities in the hut went above & beyond. They even filled the bird feeders on the balcony, so we had ten (TEN) long-tailed tits on the feeders, countless blue & great tit's, TWO nuthatches at the same time, & a regularly visiting woodpecker. We loved it there & will definitely be back. Even a tv, & gas hob, & oven. Best shepherd's hut we've ever stayed in, thank you Geraldine & Mark.

    We stayed at Trading Boundaries in a family room as an...

    We stayed at Trading Boundaries in a family room as an alternative to two rooms at the Griffin in Fletching where we had booked dinner. We walked there from Trading Boundaries via Sheffield Forest and then back after dinner. The Griffin is a truly excellent pub with fantastic views coupled with top quality food. It's a 40 minute walk from Trading Boundaries by the shortest route, but if you allow a little longer you can enjoy the plentiful footpaths around the area. Sheffield Park is a few hundred yards to the south if that's your thing.

    Having a car, Uckfield is in a strategic location to visit Sussex and most of Southern coast in Summer, without having to deal with the crowded coastal towns. The countryside is just lovely, the hotel infrastructure is quite good and the staff very professional and friendly.

    Uckfield is in a good location for accessing London by train and for seeing places like Eastbourne, Brighton, Hastings, a range of National Trust properties and the South Downs. It is helpful to have a car.

    The location is great, really convenient for visiting family in Uckfield. The host was helpful, sending a message with the check-in information, and the key was easy to obtain from the lockbox so "check in" was easy. The kitchen was reasonably well-equipped. The bed was ok.
