You are out in the Scottish countryside and it is beautiful! The little town is quaint and worth exploring. The rooms are beautiful, comfortable and a good size. The staff are amazing and so very friendly! Food is good. We had the breakfast as part of our stay and it was very good with a selection of hot and cold offerings, but it is the same each day. The X62 bus is just in town and will take you to Edinburgh round trip for 15 pounds. The pool is a perfect temperature, clean and relaxing. The hotel is beautiful and I loved the little touches of pictures of the previous owner and her animals around the hotel.

Lyn and Simon are lovely hosts - very helpful and friendly. The fire pit was a hit and the Huts were gorgeous. Beautiful surrounds and good shopping just a few minutes drive down the road. Good bus service close by too.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel! The facilities were excellent, and everything was spotlessly clean. The staff was incredibly responsive and attentive to our needs, always ready to answer our calls and provide anything we requested. Their customer service truly made us feel welcome and well taken care of. I highly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay here again. It's a great place for anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable experience.

    It was so peaceful, in the woods, lodge was cosy and everything you needed. The owners could not possibly offer you anything more! It was a wonderful stay but tooooo short, our puppy had a ball; 4 star!

    Just a post of thanking David and Louisa for a warm welcome, recommendations and a breakfast to die for! The house and views of the countryside are better than pictures can tell. Lots of things to do around, hillwalking, foraging, very short drive to many other interesting places or towns.

    Traditional Scottish hotel, only half an hour along a scenic route into Edinburgh. Comfortable room with ensuite bathroom and tea/coffee facilities. The restaurant seem popular and we had an excellent meal, staff were all lovely and made us very welcome.
