This is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. Every member of staff was exceptionally friendly, professional and helpful. The atmosphere was relaxed, and we felt we were part of the family. We will be returning, and highly recommend that you visit this great hotel. The location is absolutely perfect for exploring the beauty and wildlife of Dartmoor. I cannot find the words to praise the staff at The Dartmoor Lodge enough. Thank you.

Excellent stay! Everything is great, lovely house nested in the middle of Dartmoor national park. The host is just so lovely and makes you feel at home. Warm welcome, as if home away from home! I definitely recommend, you won’t regret it.

Very friendly staff, superb location on the edge of the moor. Room was nicely decorated, well equipped and clean. Breakfast excellent and evening meal good pub fare. I like the slightly quirky style of the place - so much better than bigger fancier hotels that are often soulless.

    The cottage was lovely, very comfortable and cosy, with everything we needed. The location is excellent - a short walk to Widecombe which has great pubs and cafés, and with lovely walks available from the cottage. We will definitely be visiting again!!
