We were very happy with the Red Lion. The staff was lovely, everything was spotless, the room was beautifully furnished, the beds comfy, the black-out blind a plus and the bathroom very nice. Security was taken very seriously, which was reassuring. The breakfast was excellent. Freshly cooked to order and absolutely delicious. We much prefer this system to a buffet and it saves on wastage. All in all an exceptionally good stay.

The room was very nice; very clean and tastefully designed. The hotel also has a very nice restaurant attached and I had a very nice lunch. The shower was easy to work; the "bay" window had a large area to put bags etc out of the way and the bed itself was very comfortable.

Fabulous breakfast and evening meal. Veggie burger was very nice. Very friendly and amenable staff. Good to have top ups to tea and coffee on the landing. Very close to our grand daughter's student accommodation which was a bonus. Quite area but not far to walk to bustling street with restaurants etc and also the botanic gardens. Free onsite parking.
