The hotel complex is well laid out.
The hotel complex is well laid out. Although set in a hill there are plenty of lifts if you don't like using stairs. The rooms are spacious and cleaned daily. Bathrooms are modern and clean. It's a great place to just relax by the pool by the bar or on your balcony. It's north facing so full sun in the morning. There is a good gym and a beauty spa. The evening entertainment is varied and of a good standard. A lot of the shows are held in an open air ampitheatre ideal for a summers evening. There is a regular bus run by the hotel down to the local beach which is helpful as the road down is steep and narrow. The restaurant is excellent. The choice and quality of food is outstanding and delicious. The staff are helpful and always have a smile on their faces. I liked the sea - we were in October and the weather was perfect. We took a boat for self boating - no license is required and it was great. We had a very good sea experience, swimming, free diving (snorkel) and jumping from the boat... we could see a sea turtle and flying fishes... we mostly cooked our own food in the villa. The beach and the waters are not bad. Everything else unfortunately is: getting there, inadequate road signs and parking space, the village and the roads are a total mess. The food in the restaurant was my biggest concern but there is really nothing to worry about - there is always something to choose from, and the food was very tasty - straight five to the chef !! Although, they run out of clean cups or glasses very often, so you have to wait a few minutes for new one. So, there is something to work on (this is for hotel owners). The whole hotel looked stunning from the outside and had a great sea view cause it was fairly high up. Clean, large room and bathroom, if slightly dated. Large pool, plently of sunbeds, never crowded. A peaceful place to just chill and relax. Shaded car port available. Agia Pelagia is a 30-40 min walk away (downhill), which may seem like much but was entirely doable, especially in the evening when it's cooler.
