Restful. Relaxing. Calm and clean. Very comfy with great hot water, great beds. Decor in the rooms is a bit retro and dated and the TV placements are hilarious (you can't view the screens around the 4 poster beds) but you're not there to watch tv. Folegrandos is a great place if you enjoy walking. There are several trails to remote beaches. Chora is a great base and the centre of town is amazing - it’s pedestrianised so very safe & clean. It is a small island - but there are a few very nice and interesting places to go and visit: for me/us - the beach of Agios Nikolaos (and it´s small bar with food and excellent reggae and latin music - just to sit / drink beer or ouzo and RELAX staring at the beach and the sea...) - you go from Agkali / the beach "Katergo" - nothing there, you need to get everything with you before you go (by a small boat) from the port Karavostassi - but it is pure nature, a very simple beach, crystal clear waters. Restaurants in Chora: Mparmpounaki - Goupi - Araxe. To name just a few. Traffic: Very good, check the schedules and it´s fine, you plan your day trip accordingly. The island is a very good place for those who enjoy also hill walking and hiking. As well for going to / swimming / and relaxing on a relatively distant / lonely beach (there are more than above referred, but we had no time to go). In the evening to enjoy the international, but traditional Greek company in various places that Chora (the main village) has and offers. Folegandros is an up-and-coming island destination that will...
Folegandros is an up-and-coming island destination that will no doubt soon be the next Santorini or Mykonos. The Chora is just big enough to provide all the dining options you could want, with well kept storefronts to chose from, but not the crowds one must endure on Santorini or Mykonos. I would recommend a car if you are keen to see the full island, but there is a fairly robust network of buses that will take you close to most places you may want to explore. Most beaches are not direct access, but the short hikes are well worth it to experience Folegandros’ stunning beaches, such as Paralia Agios Nikolaos.Guest review byAbramUnited States

We stayed in room 28 for 1 week, and George was always around to help with anything we needed. The hotel itself is beautiful, with a wonderful pool, and just a few steps from the Chora, with all the shops and restaurants. We also hired a car for a few days which George arranged at a good price, with parking directly outside the hotel. If you are going to Folegandros, there is no reason to stay anywhere else.
