The place was wonderfull and perfect for 4 people. Many little goodies were left in refrigerator for us. Location is central in small village and swimming beach across the road. Pictures were taken from balcony.

First of all, the hospitality was incredible. The grandmother made some very delicious food for us. The apartment was perfect, with two bedrooms and bathrooms, including one big living room. The location is perfect as well, 3 minutes to the water by foot, and not more than 5 minutes to the city center of Poros. I totally recommend this place to everyone who wants to enjoy their stay in Kefalonia. 🫡

Paradise Pool Bar is exceptional.

Paradise Pool Bar is exceptional. The food and the atmosphere are a credit to the team! Argo is a great place to eat and drink, any time of the day. Simple food very well done, with excellent attention to detail and service. Martha's Cafe is a traditional meeting spot that gives you a true sense of Greek life. Octopus Meze Bar is a great place to base yourself for a day at the beach with good food and service. Rent a car at Odysseus Palace and explore a little further!

A busy little port with yachts of all sizes coming and going as well as a twice daily ferry. Lots of beaches in the town with those south of Póros the most quiet. Ample cafes and several shops in the town.

Good places to eat at reasonable costs.

Good places to eat at reasonable costs. Range available a cheeky takeaway gyros to a grilled fish heaven. Good range of bakery, butchers and supermarket. Swimming is easy and safe in the bay. Be prepared for driving as the town is a bit out of the way if you want to explore the island. Essential to have a hire car. We stayed a full week next time 3 days is enough

A scruffy run down port area.

A scruffy run down port area. Lots of closed nearly derelict buildings. No wonder the taverna owners don’t have much enthusiasm as it’s a dying duck, Water looked minging so we didn’t even bother going in the sea. Beach dirty and covered in rubbish and seaweed. Remetzos bar was quirky and the only restaurant worth going to Otzibars.

Its a beautiful place with very nice landscape and beaches - much better then Skala a more touristic town nearby. It is also cheap enough, friendly and you can find some really good food, in particular seafood. However, it might be that early June (as it happened to us now) the water might be a bit cold and windy. However, from 7th of June the weather has improved. But that's the whims of weather...

The village is in 2 parts I suppose, the bay and the harbour. It's small and well maintained with plenty of restaurants and cafes and clings to the mountainside. It's quiet and laid back, apart from the time when the ferry arrives but that is a highlight of the day. The ferry goes to Kylini on the mainland and costs 13.95 each way for a foot passenger, but cars, bikes and large lorries use it also. There isn't much to see and do in Kylini but as I had never been to the mainland before, I just went coz it's there. It takes around 90 minutes each way. I also took a boat trip to Ithaca, stopping at Vathy and Kioni on the island along with a couple of swim stops for those who want to. The price was 55 euros and it was a full day. There are trips to Zakynthos available as well from Poros. The views across the Ionian Sea are amazing and when it's clear the mainland is very visible along with all the other islands. There is a hiking trail starting and finishing in Poros (the island has a lot of them) but unfortunately it is partially closed. The restaurants I went to all served good food with large portions at reasonable prices. The owners and waiters were all genial and helpful. There isn't a lot to do apart from walking the bay etc so I recommend hiring a car to see further afield. I managed to get round most of the island and while the roads are definitely not motorways, they are generally well maintained with a few crazy steep hairpin type corners. Poros is a good base to travel around the island and across to Greece itself.

Very comfortable modern house. Had all the facilities needed to enjoy our stay. Rooms were a good size and the bed was very comfortable. Location was great for us as we were touring the south of the island. Poros with it's bars and restaurants was only a couple of minutes away by car or 20 mins walking. The host Alexis was very helpful and explained all the facilities to us. He is also very knowledgeable about Greek history and mythology .Enjoyed having lunch in the patio/sun lounge area. Would definitely use again.

The setting is stunning! The welcome is warm and nothing is too much trouble. Alex and all the staff are exceptionally helpful and we had a wonderful week. The pool is lovely and very clean and the whole hotel is kept spotlessly clean. Air conditioning in the rooms makes the stay very comfortable. Organised lifts are on offer daily into and back from the town which are very welcome.

Martina and Antonis welcomed us warmly and gave us information and tips about the best beaches of the island and the most traditional and delicious restaurants in Poros. The room was always very clean (cleaning was done on a daily basis). We also appreciated very much that they let us borrow a sun umbrella and beach mats. Antonis was always available to answer any questions we had.

The house was perfect I can even say beautiful, the location is ideal for a relaxing holiday. Unfortunately we were not able to have it for our whole stay in poros. However next time we will endeavor to stay in it for a longer period. Thank you for making it available to us even for a short time. Terrific host.
