From Lyo (our hotel) to the beach is a 5-mins walk. Down/up a steep hill. The beach is pebbly, overpriced, full of umbrellas and crazy expensive water sports. Call me a grumpy Australian if you like, but I’m used to “nice sand” and “free” Beautiful expensive food tho. Rooms clean but small. Booked three view ocean room and had same view as two view ocean view which really only had one view. Small balcony to look out one direction over paved patio where sun chair sat. Far from town. No shopping nearby of any sort. Very windy! Beach nice. Water clear. Perfect terrace with private pool and sun beds for a romantic getaway meeting a spectacular sunrise. Clean, well equipped, delicious breakfast being brought every morning by super-caring host Chris. Next door delicious restaurant with cozy pergola and also with an opportunity for takeaway. The iconic sandy beach is just 5min walk, and for a lovely snorkeling swim from the rocks (with quite nice access) you only take some steps downhill (1min).
