An amazing hostel located up the Rio Finca which flows into the Rio Dulce. Having stayed at another lovely hostel close to the town of Rio Dulce, I would say this end of the river is more beautiful and unspoilt. You can take kayaks out and explore the little mangrove creeks near the hostel or venture as far afield as the Biotopo nature reserve. So many suggestions of fun and interesting things to do you could easily spend a week here!

Modern and clean hotel rooms, some with sea view, bed was very comfortable, shower and AC worked fine. Hotel and its restaurant is beautiful, food was well done, too, and they got a nice beer selection. The whole hotel feels like an oasis in the middle of Livingston. And the staff is great, especially Carlos made us feel at home, and everyone was super helpful. Bring a bit of time when eating here, they're not the fastest, but the food is worth it.

Absolutely everything. It is very rare when you arrive at your accommodation that you are actually lost for words about how amazing the place you have just arrived at is. Daria and Doug were welcoming and warm from the moment that we arrived, and honestly, the Villa we stayed in blew us away. It is truly beautiful and even has its own private lagoon, for God's sake. The bed is super comfortable, and we felt like we had a real home away from home for a few days. The food and drinks at the restaurant are excellent, and honestly, we just never wanted to leave. We cannot recommend this place highly enough. It is remote, has awesome access to Livingston and is a great lancha journey from the main town itself, which is really nothing more than a landing point. I had been eyeing off this place since the owners first opened last November and waiting for some reviews to appear and feel really fortunate that we were able to secure the Villa and stay at this incredible part of the world. Cannot recommend any more highly.

It's a stay surrounded by nature, with specific constraints such as humidity, heat, limited electricity, and Wi-Fi only in common areas, but this is compensated for by the beauty of the surroundings, the friendly atmosphere, the kindness and helpfulness of the staff, and the numerous activities offered.

Finca Tatin is beautifully situated on a tributary of the Rio Dulce. The atmosphere is pleasantly relaxed, there are plenty of hammocks, and Juan Carlos and Antonio run the whole place superbly!
