The accommodation perfectly met our expectations. The room was clean with a comfortable bed, a balcony and AC. There was a shop and the beach right across the street. The shared bathroom was clean and I only had to wait for a few minutes once. I've read many reviews complaining about the staff. Based on my experience, the owner only knows a few words of English, but she is very friendly and helpful. I always got the information I needed, and we even had a nice chat by combining different languages. The only other staff member we met was the cleaning lady, who only speaks Croatian but always greets you with a smile or a few words. The breakfast was really nice. There were three types of cereal, apples, bread, toast, jams, Nutella, honey, processed cheese, biscuits, salty cheese, millet porridge, coffee, tea, milk, and water. After a while, the owner also brought chilled water, fruit juice, and scrambled eggs to each table. Unfortunately, we left too early because pancakes were being prepared in the kitchen :) Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and would happily have stayed a few more days.

Everything we needed was there, with a very helpful host, who was ready to help us anytime. Nice location with great views of sea and mountains. Near to the both and to the centre and restaurants. Also accomodation was very clean, new and perfectly fine a enjoyable even on rainy day.

We had an amazing stay. The location of the vila is just excellent, it’s very quiet with no noise from the main street. The water was crystal clear. The hosts were also wonderful and did their best to accommodate our needs. They greeted us with juice and snack after a night on the road, which was really nice. The interior was also good, clean and spacious with everything you need. We loved the views from the terrace and the scent of the pine trees. There’s also a couple of fig trees so you can pick some on your way to the beach. There was even a junior (< 70 kg) paddle board you could use. We truly recommend staying here and we will be coming back.

Very clean apartment. In the kitchen is everything you may ever need. It is about 10 minutes walking from the beach and about 10 minutes from the entrance in the Paklenica national park. About 6-7 minutes from the big food shop. Center of Starigrad is about 15 minutes walking. Very big super king size bed.

It was very clean and organised, things were set up nicely for us, very spacious, very peaceful night, very quiet during the night, gorgeous view and right by the water, also beds were the most comfortable we’ve been in while travelling.

Fantastic climbing venue, if that's your thing.

Fantastic climbing venue, if that's your thing. Friends said the walking was good too. Not that busy in October and we were lucky with the weather. Adequate shopping facilities and a nice little taverna about 10 minutes walk from our apartment.

A small city with a lot to do.

A small city with a lot to do. Not too crowded, with a living night life. This is a city that is not well known yet and it is evolving tourist wise. Best thing for price/quality. Parking are cheap or free, restaurants are not too expensive...

Starigrad Paklenica is an interesting blend between sea and mountain, a place like no other.. You can enjoy what the sea has to offer you, boat trips, snorkeling, etc, and furthermore, having a nice hike in the mountains, maybe climbing up the walls in the National Park, where you can find the climb experts waiting to teach you how to safely walk up the walls... You can really find here good food, nice people and beautiful places like Vecka Kula Beach, Riviera Paklenica, Velebit National Park, Cernovac Caves and the rest of them, I invite you to discover yourself traveller..

Hated that Booking did not state that our Apartment was next...

Hated that Booking did not state that our Apartment was next to a late night dance club. Wanted a quite stay in a quiet place next to the sea but was rudely kept up late into the night. When I want a party Vacation I may come back to Starigrad Paklenica, but unfortunately this trip was for peace and quiet so I would avoid Starigrad Paklenica for those who want a Peaceful and Elegant Croatian trip down the Jadranska Magistrala.

You have mountains (hiking) and the seaside (swimming) in the same location. Nearby it's a natural park Paklenica well worth visiting. The main road wasn't too busy so the place is quiet enough.

The city is without any historic center.

The city is without any historic center. It riminded me more of a typical Spanish tourist resorts, which is a reason I do not go for holiday to Spain but to Croatia. This is not a typical historic small Croatian town like Stari Grad on Hvar, otok Rab or bigger cities.

Very friendly hosts, Petar and Rajna, make a stay here even more pleasurable. "My living room" with a recliner under the pine trees, right on a small beach with a pier, was fantastic. The terrace of the apartment overlooking the sea, pine trees, olive trees, and an old oak was perfect for long coffee breaks and serene dinners.

Antonella was extremely helpful, and the breakfast was very tasty. Great sea view from the balcony. Direct access to the sea from the ground floor. Paklenica National Park is a short walk, or an even shorter drive, from Villa Vicko.

on arrival the owners had left a freshly baked loaf of bread with a meat and cheese platter, on our 2nd to last morning we were delivered fresh Croatian cookies for breakfast, the owners were very accommodating
