I had a pleasant 3-day stay with my family at this hotel in Kolkata. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was clean and well-maintained. The location is excellent right near the taxi stand which made getting around very convenient. Everything about our stay was smooth and comfortable. I wish I had time to take some photos, but we were too busy. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great stay in this area.

The location of the hotel is perfect. It is walking distance to many cafés and restaurants. Even though the hotel is located in a random building which is not pretty at all, once you enter the rooms, it is very pretty. It is extremely clean and it looks way better from the inside that from the outside.

Wonderful staff, they made all the difference. They were totally engaged in making our stay a memorable one, most ably led by the manager. Fairlawn's is very old, do not expect luxury, it is not so much a place to stay but rather an experience to be had. The breakfasts were wonderful and the 3 evening meals we ordered were superb and served with style. Fantastic location and extremely good value.
