RomaniaThis is a great way of enjoying the terrifyingly beautiful Detifoss waterfall from the East side. If you want to be surrounded by nature, this is a great spot. The rooms are big and modern. The shared spaces are also nice. We were also lucky enough to catch a glimpse of the Aurora Borealis (in mid-August) which was something unexpected. There is a small portion of gravel road but it is in good condition. Would recommend!

It is a little off the ring road, but en-route to Detifoss, though basicaly in the middle of nowhere. Loved it. The hosts are warm and helpfull, lovely home-made food, great way to learn about the Icelandic way of life, lots of stories. Very friendly and homely.
