Without realizing it while booking we ended up in 'the fancy room' (according to the staff, but we agree). Very nice view of the coast and the glacier. Top breakfast and top buffet-style dinner (for a correct price). All home-cooked with local ingredients, which we really appreciated (some of the best food we had in Iceland). We saw the chef cleaning and filleting (big!) fish in front of the hotel, which was quite an experience. Very warmly recommended! p.s. The Snaefellsnes peninsula is so beautiful. It was definitely one of the highlights of our tour of Iceland, not to be missed!

Kast Guesthouse is a good place to stop for an overnight between scenic locations. They have a small eating place where breakfast and dinner is served. Dinner was limited to 3 options but it was fantastic options. Breakfast selection was also very good.

Idyllic! They are little cottages at the base of the mountain. View is espectacular. Eat at the place, the food is cooked by the family: local, homemade and delicious. 10 mins from seal viewing and about 30 from Snæfellsjökull National Park.

The shower did not have a normal drain but rather had a space between the tiles for the water. We didn’t realize this immediately and water was EVERYWHERE. Breakfast was absolutely delicious and the fresh bread is out of this world. Abundance of parking spaces (free) and we saw the aurora from this location.

The location is awesome right by the ocean and mountains The Black Church is also in walking distance. The building was very comfortable and the dinners were great. The breakfast was good.

Easy reachable by car with parking in front of the door. Apartment was very comfortable, big, with all the equipment you might need. You could easily stay there for more nights.

The property was easy to find and most importantly the host were truly exceptional, they came over to help us with things twice. They were soft spoken as well. The property had a lot of facilities like playing cards, barbecue (which we didn’t try out) and a place back door to sit and chill. I would love to stay again with them.
