What a wonderful place to stay! Perfect location for all the sights at the golden circle and a good starting point for the highlands (F35). The owners care a lot, even before you arrive, everything was very clean, I had a big bathroom. For this price the best guesthouse I stayed so far.

The location is amazing, mountains all around. The windowview was incredible! Lots of amazing sightseeing nearby, including the brúarfoss waterfall that is only a 5 to 10 minute drive. The food and ice-cream from their own cows was also so so good! The first day I had the best sirloin steak I ever had! Not to mention the room which was so beautiful and cosy with all the wood :)

The hot tub was a delightful touch, and the cottage had everything we needed for a comfortable visit. It was absolutely beautiful accommodation. The most beautiful I've ever been to in my life. A beautiful, peaceful place. No other houses around. Warm geothermal pool, sauna. Beautifully clean, modern facilities. Full cabinet of board games. Very nice and pleasant owners. I recommend 100%. This place is heaven on earth. I definitely want to come here again. Thank you for everything!

    I have driven through on numerous occasions but never...

    I have driven through on numerous occasions but never stopped. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. Lovely view of the lake adequate local facilities close by and only a half hour drive to Geyser and Gullfoss.

    Laugarvatn is in an excellent location between the national park to the west, and Geysir and Gulfoss Waterfall to the east. It has a beautiful view of the lake and the surrounding hills, a few restaurants, gas, and plenty of lodging.

    Staff at the reception and the restaurant were all very helpful and friendly. Room was clean and comfortable, except that the mattress was a too soft. Restaurant has lake view and a cozy, homely setting that makes a relaxing spot after a long day hiking. Delicious cod fish is a must-try at the hotel's restaurant.

    The location is close to Fontana spa and really close to Laugarvatn lake - beatiful location. Grocery store is 130m away, and so is the lake. Room and bathroom are both very spacious, self-checkin is very convenient, there is even a small fridge in the room.

    One of the best hotels of our trip. Beautiful and cosy room. The staffs were friendly. The dinner was nice and beautifully located with a view. Close to great attractions. Would love to stay a few nights more if we had more time.
