The place feels like a little castle, full of charm and character. The hosts were incredibly kind and waited for us until late at night to give us the keys and explain everything about the surroundings. Breakfast was nice, and everyone we met was genuinely friendly and welcoming. The view is absolutely outstanding. There are also plenty of great restaurants nearby for dinner, which made our evenings even more enjoyable. Castellina in Chianti is a great place to stay in the Heart of Chianti; a lovely town with a great selection of restaurants from pizza to pasta to Florentine steaks! Not over touristy and well worth a visit. Quiet hill town with lots of amenities. Well located to visit other towns if you are willing to drive. Pay VERY close attention to the information sent by the hotel about luggage drop off and pick up.
