Everything, it is wonderful, a real gem! This hotel should be used S the template for all hotels, I’ve travelled to 67 countries and this is the loveliest, most outstanding hotel I’ve had the pleasure of staying in. From the staff to the bedding, location, food, (breakfast was fantastic, so much choice and for me lots of Vegan options, soy milk, fruits, Berries, yogurts, even Vegan croissants, I was so happy. I loved the style and design of the building, the cleanliness throughout it was outstanding. Overall it was super comfortable and a joy to be there, sadly only two nights but we will go back many times I am certain.

The hotel was very inviting from the minute we walked in. Very clean and comfortable room. Breakfast was exquisite. So much variety. We were there 4 days and I didn't get to try everything. The pool was lovely. The bar had enough of a choice for us. We only had dinner 1 night and it was lovely. The hotel is located between Sermione and desenzano del garda so we took advantage of the bike hire and toured both areas.

This is my second visit to this hotel. I visit around the end of October as it is quiet. The boats are not running but there is a fantastic market on a Tuesday. Nice for a relaxing weekend. Fantastic staff, nothing is too much trouble and a full English breakfast if you want

    Really easy to get to from Verona airport.

    Really easy to get to from Verona airport. Beautiful views of the Lake and quick to get to Sirmione which is stunning but can get really busy with tourists. Desenzano town is lovely, lots of eateries, pretty streets, friendly people and beautiful views. The market on a Tuesday was really good, nice to walk around. Many things eg the castle etc are closed on a Monday. I was there 2.5 days which felt enough for me. This included a day in Sirmione. I explored the main sites and then spent a day in Verona on the way home, well worth a day trip or visit.

    Fantastic location on the lake as close to all travel links...

    Fantastic location on the lake as close to all travel links and amenities. The ferries are central and run regular to other parts of the lake, the train station is not too far away and great for trips to Verona etc. Plenty of restaurants to choose from and events keep appearing on the weekends.

    Desenzano is a great choice if you are looking to explore Lake Garda. Its a quieter, smaller town (less tourisy if you like) then some others around the lake, which is something we appreciated. Lots of restaurants and scenic spots. Also has larger supermarkets, shopping malls etc nearby. Beach was ok, pebbly and rocky, but water was very clean. Unfortunately the beach had a wasp problem, but most people didnt seem to mind.

    Most of the restaurants are over priced and too touristy, especially round the port and main church square. We eventually found Osteria Vinoste, Via Roma, which is opposite the lido beach but you have to book in advance... lovely place and staff and we went back. There are some good other ones but we had only a few days. The lack of cash machines was disappointing, make sure to bring euros cash here (Boats, ice cream etc). None of the local buses were on time and we had to take a taxi each time to go to the train station as it's too far to walk with luggage... very unreliable especially the small city buses ;(( The trains however are very good everywhere. I recommend spending time in the Tourist Info inside the station as they have local maps and timetables and were very helpful ! there is an area arounf the Castle which did look very different, quieter with local restos, def. would stay there next time! And you can walk to the station !

    It really was an R&R stop as we were hiking the MTB and moving onto the Dolomites. It wasn’t really our type of place, the little towns up the coast were pleasant, unfortunately as said they were not our scene .. so can’t really comment for others ..

    A centrally located resort on the lake.

    A centrally located resort on the lake. Lots of parking, loads of restaurants, we had super meals at Animo pizza and La Brasserie 15. Highly recommend hiring a boat with dolphin boats and going out on the lake - 3 hours was just about enough time. Absolutely huge market on Tuesday morning. Central location to visit towns either side of the lake. Much preferred Desenzano to the much busier and more touristy resorts of garda and bardolino.

    We had a great time at Admiral Villa Erme. The staff is very friendly and always helpful and charming. The hotel is situated close to the bus stop with convenient connection to train station, Desenzano and Sirmione. We used the free bicycles several times. We did in particular enjoy the pool and the hot tub and the relaxing environment. We will consider coming back.

    Beautiful hotel, the rooftop pool is fabulous with views over the lake and mountains. Rooms are comfortable and well cleaned. Breakfast is lovely with lots of fresh pastries, fruit, cooked breakfast etc. There is a bus stop across the road that can take you to Desenzano or Sirmone. Rivotella beach is a 15min walk. Staff were helpful and friendly.

    The breakfast is excellent, everything one could wish for…we particularly liked the pancake maker! Our room was rather small but clean and adequate with a good balcony.. A delightful pool and pool area. A very pleasant short walk to the centre. We have stayed at the hotel Benaco many times and love Desenzano
