Beautiful old town area, quite compact with lovely restaurants and cafes. A few shops selling tasteful clothing and gifts, no tacky tourist tat. Stunning views across the surrounding countryside from many view points. Two nights gave us the opportunity to explore in a relaxing way but it’s possible a day trip would be enough for some. In my opinion, Locorotondo is the best town to visit in Valle d'Itria! It is certainly the most picturesque and sits on top of a hill which looks out to Martina Franca. The selection of cafes, bars and restaurants is great, with lots of options. This town is well situated in Puglia , allowing us to use it as a base from which we radiated out on day trips. Nowhere near as tourist filled as Alberobello, this small post-card beautiful ,whitewashed clifftop town offers breathtaking views from its belvedere. Parking in these "white old towns" is always tricky but we found free parking by the football stadium just a short walk away. The churches were very interesting but sadly we visited in winter and not much was open in the old town itself. The host family is very friendly and does everything to serve your wishes and make you feel comfortable. The hotel is very nicely located and you live in very nicely renovated trullis, the typical famous buildings of Puglia. I had great tours by bike: it is an ideal area for biking. The very nice villages Locorotondo and Alberobello are very close. The location of Borgo Miceli da Giovanni is perfect to get around in Puglia and visit its beautiful sights.Guest review byBGermany
