The accommodations were beautiful abdvthe host very attentive. The town is fairly chaotic with lots of folks arriving by train. You need a car to find a quiet beach. The town comes alive at 9pm. ancient town up the hill, more modern town at the bottom, there is a bus that runs up and down, you need to phone for it. small charge. 2.50 euros a trip. Its a really charming town at the top, very atmospheric and at the bottom the town is a working town, I liked it and the beach is very close just beyond the station. Lovely people in this town, its small but friendly. European visitors must be made aware that life comes to stop from 1pm -3 30 pm during the week and everything closes on Saturdays at lunchtime until Monday! Everything you needed for a comfortable stay, close to supermarket and minimart. Yes it is a distance from the station but Stefania kindly collected us, not only when we arrived but also after we did a day trip to Diamante. The accommodation is not far from the centre, but a shuttle or car is needed to the beach. The host was friendly and helpful. The furnishings in the apartment are a bit old but fully functional.
