Piccolo Hotel San Valentino is set on top of a hill in the middle of the fairytale Val d'Orcia. Among cypress trees, olive groves and crete senesi. The Abbey of San Oliveto Maggiore is about a kilometre away. The hotel has a restaurant, but it closes in the evening, so it's completely quiet at night - the nearest village is several kilometres away. For breakfast we got everything we wanted: there was sheep's cheese, all sorts of spreads, yoghurts, prosciutto if you wanted it and several types of pastries. The room was not large but comfortable, the wi-fi worked, there are mosquito nets on the windows - although there are not many around the hotel, and the room is air-conditioned. We were able to visit a classical music festival in nearby Asciano. And of course all the staff were extremely friendly and willing to help.

Magical place. I liked it so much that I extended my stay. Hope that says it all! People are so nice, location is great, the town is beautiful and not touristy, it's super safe, breakfast was delicious, rooms are big, pool has an incredible view, etc! A must!

This flat exceeded our expectations when it came to cleanliness, linen provided, location (near the Via Francigena Trail) and very spacious. There were enough beds for all 5 of us. They provided a variety of snack and juices. Easy chek in procedures (lock box). Near bar/cafe.

The house is amazing. We were on the second floor- amazing views from kitchen/dining/terrace. The place is brand new and extremely comfortable with all of the little touches that make a stay nice- soap/extra toilet paper/kitchen essentials… the kids loved the little candies and we appreciated the cold water in the fridge upon our arrival! The place was bigger than we expected- perfect for our family of 4 (two kids under 6). The washing machine was amazing! The town itself is super cute and we had a wonderful 3 days exploring it and the surrounding towns. Highly recommend staying here!!

Tiziana and family were fantastic hosts, nothing was too much and very accommodating. Even down to providing breakfast very early, day of flying home. The apartment was spacious, bed very comfortable and with a well equipped kitchen. The view from the house is amazing.
