Main purpose of the trip was the Holy Doors, Papal audiencee , Padre Pio Shrine, and underground colosseum. Its our second visit to Rome so our itinerary was more focused on the pilgrimage part. We travelled wt 10 more couples, they stayed near Termini, their hotel was cheaper but AC was comfortable!!

Okay, so you open the Lexicon and try to find the correct example for Tourist Trap, and bang, you see a single word to describe it: ROME Pickpockets everywhere, crowded places, shitty food if you can't dig deep enough, everybody wants money from you, the vendors sell everything at triple price, and there are even scammers on every corner to cheat you. The traffic is super crazy; there is no other city in Europe where people shit on the rules more. The metro is ugly and rundown, and I don't recommend using it. If you do, be sure to watch your belongings. And in the best places, you need to wait at least 1 hr in line. What a fun way to spend your holiday. We ate twice at the Rosso Vivo Vaticani in Trastavere, there was good food: mostly pizzas, antipasti, they serve gluten-free, the local beer was surprisingly good, and the service was super nice (thanks to Pietro and especially Alessandra). The best place was the Vatican, of course, you need to see the biggest church of Christianity once in your life. It was breathtaking. The Vatican Museum was also very good. And if you are an avid fan of AC - Brotherhood, you need to take a trip to Isola Tiberina. I also recommend the Villa Borghese, but the best place is the Modern Art Museum, not the Renaissance one. That was a big letdown.

Probably the best city break we've been on.

Probably the best city break we've been on. If you are into history this is the one. Colosseum, Roman Forum and Palatine Hill is a must with guided tour. The Vatican City museums is also very good, get the fast track tickets. Felt safe walking the streets. Good transport links if needed to get about. Weather was very good for our stay. Prices are probably on a par with other cities.

There are so many places to see, so much food to eat,it was an incredible experience. The city is walkable and every time we turned a corner there was yet another breathtaking surprise. The ambiance and street performers made this trip unique. The churches are breathtaking, the monuments are worth every dollar, and the desserts are amazing. I recommend and would definitely come back.

Visiting The Vatican and St Peter's Square was the highlight of our stay. Other places like the Coliseum, the Pantheon and Castel San Angelo were all also great to visit. This apart from the many churches and picture galleries.

It was quite a beautiful and historical city. Every single building is a fantastic and worth seeing. Food is really good. However too crowded. I even couldnt get closer to some historical structures because of the crowd.

The building although found in the old city of Rome, was modern and aesthetically pleasing. The room was spacious and clean and we were also offered water which we could refill from the hotel itself - who doesn’t love a sustainable act? The best part was the breakfast - so delicious and mouthwatering, I’ve never tasted such good breakfast at a hotel in Italy! The food was so genuine and fresh - pure delicacies of Rome! Finally, Erica the receptionist was so sweet and welcoming on our arrival and departure.

Probably one of my best stays in europe and particularly in Italy for that range of price. Staff was very kind, helpful and humble. The room was very clean with all equipments. no noise from the streets since the window is toward the garden. very close to the metro and Roma Termini. and I need to mention while the breakfast was not on the list of benefits I had access to the coffee and light breakfast and also the kitchen tools. I would surely remember this hotel for later when I visit Rome.

Lovely room and toilet, working A/C which seems like a rare find in Italy as i have stayed 3 hotels during my trip and only this one has a working A/C. The lady/owner was very nice and her son was very helpful when we were stuck outside at the door during the late night. The beds as well gave me one of the best sleeps throughout my stay in Italy. It has a perfect location where it's near the Metro station and also a walkable distance to the Colosseum.

The location is perfect and it’s near to the main station Termini that’s gives you access to the main spots in Rome. For the price it was worth it. We had the quadruple room and it was clean and a lot bigger than the rest of hotels we stayed in Italy.

Fantastic, friendly and polite front desk staff. If it weren't for them, the stay would have been miserable. The location is also great. The movie atmosphere of the hotel is quite ok but you lose the atmosphere of Italy and Rome with this.
