For those travelers going to Sorrento, I would recommend taking a stop in Vico Equense. Lots of place to eat, shop and visit. If you don't have a car give yourself extra time getting to and from as taxis are scarce and the buses really don't follow a schedule even though one is posted. Vico Equense is a charming little town between Naples and Sorrento. It takes 20 minutes to get to Sorrento by train, from where you can easily reach Positano, Amalfi or Capri by ferry, and in an hour you can be in the centre of Naples by train. We had ashort visit and enjoyed the beautiful views.The nature of the coastline requires a long walk down from the town to access the beach but there are small buses between the beach and the railway station. Apartment has all necessary facilities for relaxing stay. Lift on the private beach, belonging to nearby hotel is just 5 minutes walk from the apartment. Entrance+sun bed 22 EUR. Supermarket and train station - 10 minutes walk from the apartment.
