If you are looking to escape from tourist areas and visit the country side of Japan? Then this place is it! There is hot springs everywhere and it is near Mt Fuji so tons of mountains around. There are beautiful ancient temples, wineries with different plans for tasting, onsen, and lovely countryside to hike or walk. There was a lot of fruit and other local specialties - I recommend the Kikyo Shingen Mochi Factory tour (free) and shops. The lunch restaurant there is excellent.Guest review byJacquelineJapan
