Great concept and a nice execution too. We arrived at an empty place late at night (self checkin works out well) and my wife was frightened to death lol. But the facilities are good and clean considering the surroundings.

Host was very friendly. Breakfast was superb. The host gave a guided tour to his cow shed which was an interesting experience especially for people growing up in the city. Would definitely recommend friends to visit.

Yakumo was a lovely little town. We could buy local bread and cucumber from the guesthouse. The staff called an onsen for us to check if we can enter with tattoos and let us borrow bicycles to get there after our check out. Nice atmosphere in the hostel and the countryside around it was beautiful with a lot of cows!
