The room is surprisingly big and well equipped. Massage chair, microvawe, AC, hair dryer, fridge, huge TV, kettle, bathroom with towels, cups... You can take a free toothbrush, bubble towel, hairbrush, cotton stick. The duvet is fuwa fuwa (soft, thick but light).you also get a free frozen meal which you can heat up. It is a truly one of a kind accommodation. It is situated in a very quiet and pleasant town away from city noise and it is combined with a vinyl and old CD listening experience. You can listen to whatever you like in a spacious house and you can buy the records afterwards (so we did!). The owner was really friendly and speaks English very well. He was kind enough to drive us to Magome-juku town as we couldn’t find a way ourselves.

The guesthouse gives a homely feeling, and we were warmly welcomed by the owner even if we arrived a bit late. It was the perfect stay as a base for the nakasendo trail. The house is completely renovated but you can feel how it was 110 years back when it was built. It has all the amenities you might need, and the spaces are huge! Great relaxing garden in the back :)
