Unlike the Miyako in Kyoto, this 208-room property is not associated with Westin/Marriott. The hotel is relatively new, around four years old when writing this. We picked the Miyako Hotel Hakata for its excellent location right adjacent to the Hakata train station. The reception is on the third floor. The staff is friendly and professional, and the rooms are excellent - very spacious and bright. Fully equipped with any amenities you might need and with fantastic beds and pillows. The lights, curtains and drapes are controlled by a tablet on a bedside table. The hotel features a lovely outdoor pool on the top floor amd also has a good restaurant for breakfast and dinner. We tried the ten course dinner and it was very good. When in Fukuoka we will pick the Miyako again. One of the top hotels we have stayed at during our many hotel nights in Japan. Everything. From the moment we arrived in front of hotel, until the moment we left the hotel back to airport. Sublime service. The very polite lady from the bell desk even continue waived us good byes accros the street! That was really touched our hearts. We have been around the world staying in top luxury resorts and hotels, but we never encountered such personal attention and care to their guests! Simply amazing service culture! Very nice and cosy hotel surrounded by vegetation. Each room has access to a balcony to relax on. Good location close to the station. The staff is very professional and always ready to help. Breakfast is varied and has very flexible hours. I highly recommend this hotel for a successful stay in Fukuoka.

New & clean & spacious. Quality is the same as you see in photos, with good balcony facing river, excellent locations to restaurants, walking distance to 天神 & Canal City, 20mins walk from Hakata Station. I stayed with family of 3, and definitely will come back as it’s value-for-money. Plenty of parking spaces nearby, and taxi to airport costs only ¥2000+.

The room looked exactly like the photos and was actually larger in real life. The furnishings were rather new and well maintained, and the beds and sofa were very comfy. The overall cleanliness was also very high, while the kitchen was well stocked. Regarding the layout of the room, the toilet and shower/bath are separated, while the beds are located near the entrance of the room. The soundproofing was fantastic as we did not hear much of the traffic downstairs or from the other guests. We had a fantastic experience and would greatly recommend this accommodation to our families and friends.
