Very homely feeling during our stay in Hongu. Mandy not only made us feel welcome but looked after and took us around as if we were family. She also went out of her way to organise a taxi to find us when we got lost during our hike - without her I am not sure what would've happened. Both home prepped meals were amazing, and the acupuncture service was extremely professional. We really enjoyed this authentic Japanese homestay experience and hope to be back soon!

The location is incredible in front of this huge tori. Waking up seeing this is incredible. The house is super confy and we’ll equipped. The little cafe near offers yummy breakfast and you are just walking distance from the sights.

The property was wonderful, beautiful traditional Ryokan, clean rooms, lovely onsen. The staff is polite, nice, and welcoming. They pay attention to small details which I think is really beautiful. Very big and delicious dinner and breakfast. The location is perfect as well, close to the bus station that connects you to other villages and small places.
