Everything! The house is beautifully designed and we loved that it's different than most Japanese guest houses. It's lovely to have such a modern and cozy concept in a small town, away from the crowds. There is actually a lot of charm in the town and it was one of our favorite stops on a month-long trip to Japan. That is also because of Alrik, who manages the property. He was so kind, hospitable, and friendly! We felt welcomed as friends, not just hotel guests. He did everything we could to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is a beautiful forest around, the view from the top of the town is lovely, so is the walk by the river and sunset. The Shinto shrine was such a special experience too! Thank you, Alrik and Next Chapter for this beautiful stay! We will come back to the area just to visit the guest house again, especially if Alrik is still running it!

I just loved staying @Mitsuka guesthouse! Yukiko is a very helpful and attentive host. She made me feel at home and her cooking is absolutely high-class! Her sightseeing tips are on spot and she knows the local surf and dive shops. If you go to Shishikui, this is the place to stay at! I'm already missing it

The days at Haryugeta Guesthouse were incredible. It's perfect for those who want to surf, spend their vacation by the sea and in nature, and experience rural life on Shikoku Island. The host and his family were incredibly kind and went out of their way to make this trip unforgettable.There is nothing lacking in terms of amenities, and the guesthouse, in particular, played a significant role in the overall experience. This place is a gem! The location is simply perfect – just above the beach. I watched the sunrise from the terrace every morning. Rooms are small and clean and you can use a fully equipped kitchen. The owner is the kindest person and very helpful. 7-Eleven is 2 minutes away for late-night snacks. Really want to come back again in the summertime to try surf lessons!
