If I could take a dozen stars out of the sky and put them here- I would because 10 aint enough. Checking out of this residence felt like being put out of heaven. Little Muni and baby Alexandro, Narah who taught me how to ride a motorbike, uncle's honesty, and all my sister's laughter! The little food surprises 😁I got a free room upgrade (I think they understood my strain after a long train trip). And so - I cannot commend you enough - as very few places I've been to manages to combine effortless kindness and hospitality - with perfect sized rooms (e.g soft beds AND choice of soft/ hard pillows) quitetude with urbanism, and - sustainability without bragging about it - All at a fair price. Worth mentioning they have an organic farm, so the food is delicious, especially the juices- and the saltwater (clorine free) pool is not only good for you, its an imperative and logical (uncle) though for the future, that more hotels should adapt I hope you grow up happy, Muni. I know you will do everything your heart desires, Narah. I enjoyed every second of my stay with you. With much gratitude 🙏 from my heart to yours, thank you.

It seems to be in a small green oasis. The staff speaks perfectly english and french, the bungalow was very spacious, clean and fresh. Beautiful pool too. I only had lunch but it was delicious. I think au cabaret vert is a perfect get away to immerse in a quiet garden. PS: try the homemade jam! I wish i had time to taste more dishes xx

Staff were very friendly, couldn’t do enough to help with any requests about tours / local restaurants and attractions. There was a good buffet breakfast for the mornings to set you up for the day.

It's a but of a dump.

It's a but of a dump. All dusty roads , constant traffic and broken pavements. I made the mistake of booking 3 nights. Rookie error. I went on a good tour of pretty much all the main sites/tourist attractions, on day two but there was nothing else I wanted to see and do after that. Two nights is ample. .

The Central CBD is undergoing major road and drainage works...

The Central CBD is undergoing major road and drainage works (and has been for 3 years) which means the streets are gritty and dusty. The locals are over it! My initial reaction was not great but once I got out and about, seeing the broader area and learning about the history (both ancient and recent), I really enjoyed myself. Climbing Phnom Sampov was both wonderful and chilling - the views were stunning but the horror of what lies within the caves was difficult to stomach. Watching the bats leave the cave at sunset was awesome. In my opinion, watching locals and visitors sit back, relax and watch the spectacle together was a highlight. Visiting the rice paper maker, the fish preservers and the rice whisky creators was interesting and highlighted to me how very fortunate I am. Wat Ek Phnom was well worth the trip. Beautiful. It was easy to get around Battambang and there are many tuk tuks and tour guides if you need one. Bossbha's House and Gallery, Kinyei Cafe on Street 1.5, Jann Bai Restaurant and the food at the Central Market (day time only) were all fabulous in their own way.

Battambang is another vibe to visit, I'm a person who love drawing and painting and yeah... this place got my attention in different kinds of arts. Food...delicious, Museum and a lot of historical places were awesome!!

Old school town, felt like the wild west with dusty roads...

Old school town, felt like the wild west with dusty roads and french buildings. I loved it. I recommend the Bamboo Train, trying the local snacks by the roadside, going to see the big Buddha on the hill before sunset when all the bats take to the sky. There's good coffee and food everywhere. Well worth taking some time out here and when you get tired there are plenty of massage places.

Battambang is a very friendly quiet city with a few...

Battambang is a very friendly quiet city with a few attractions that are worth seeing. We enjoyed seeing the bats exit the caves on the outside of town, but we really just enjoyed walking and discovering places and views. Definitely worth a visit. And the drive from Battambang to Siem Reap is beautiful and takes you through an ancient village which still has many old wooden houses. They were stunning. We can recommend, Jaan Bai, The Lonely Tree restaurant and Romcheik 5 Artspace and Cafe. The gallery was awesome and the cafe on the top floor was an oasis of green serving great food. Give it a try!

Battambang is more like a working town and far less touristy...

Battambang is more like a working town and far less touristy than Siem Reap. You get to see more of traditional Cambodia here but the town doesn’t have a huge selection of restaurants and bars. The bamboo train and visit to the killing caves is very good. We ate in our hotel each evening as couldn’t find anything that we wanted to go into town for as it was too far to walk. Also went to the trainee circus that trains young people who often progress to cirque du soleil which was excellent

We stayed at La Villa to be in the city centre and experience the French villa ambience just for one night before moving onto another place a bit further from the centre for two more nights in Battambang. We had a great stay and was upgraded for free into an amazing room with a balcony on the top floor overlooking the pool which was lovely. We enjoyed all the interior design and the pool area and all our meals, the hotel staff were very friendly and there were even some cats and the cutest black little kitten that I fell in love with.

Very nice hotel, at the center of Battambang, but yet in a small street, which made it quiet at night. The room and bathroom were very clean and spacious. Nice large and comfortable bed ! Supermarket within walking distance, and close to the main touristic places. The staff was very friendly and helped whenever necessary or needed. No possibility to eat (breakfast) at the hotel, but plenty of possibilities in close proximity of the hotel. Thanx for everything & keep on the good work :-)
