Animals Ahangama is an absolute gem. The boutique design is stunning — cozy, stylish, and full of character. It truly feels like a home away from home. Everything is spotlessly clean, and the rooms are beautifully designed with great attention to detail. The staff are wonderful — warm, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything you need. You can really feel the care they put into making your stay special. I loved every moment here and would definitely come back. It was really fun, the resort is beautifully designed. The staff were very nice and helpful, and the receptionist named Dwemini was smiling, welcoming and helped us with whatever we needed. I highly recommend the place.

Tri is an incredible place to stay. The area is incredibly beautiful and quiet, boasting an amazing pool and a perfect location for a getaway. The room was spotless, comfortable, and offered the most breathtaking views. The staff were incredibly helpful and even surprised me with a cake on my birthday! We had the best experience and would definitely recommend and return. The only thing worth mentioning is that it's quite challenging to reach the place by car because the roads are unpaved. However, the staff helped us with everything we needed, including arranging a tuktuk that took us to a restaurant. - Michal.

The place is so nice to walk around it’s full of amazing cafes , restaurants and small boutiques. All the restaurants are offering grey food and amazing view. The people are so friendly and it safe place. P

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or...

We actually stayed in Kabalana which is just 25 min walk or 5 min tuk tuk drive from Ahangama. It was the right decision as Ahangama was twice as busy and Kabalana beach was way better. Restaurants near us were really nice too and with the most famous night club in Sri Lanka called Trax round the corner!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life!

Ahangama is great for surfing, restaurants and social life! There are some weekly parties in town and a lot of solo travellers which can be met on social hostels, all around the town and at the beach. Loved Ahangama and it gave me very homey feeling, came back after seen the island a bit more!

Definitely a quieter side of Sri Lanka, though its picking up and the nice part is if you have transport you can go visit the other beaches which are all in the same line and about 20-30 minutes distance within each other. There's a lot to do in terms if shopping some knick knacks, enjoying the food and some drinks as well. You just need to ask the locals where they go and what they like and you're bound to have a memorable time.

A beautiful Villa in the middle of the nature, the calm brings you to detached from the noisy city, and so much close to the beach with 5 mn tuktuk, the staff always smiling and my only wish is to stay more to enjoy all the different place to visite around and to have a complete connection with that beautiful environment. My only wish today is to come back so thank you Villa Gabrielle for your attention during my stay!!! All small details were addressed and that make a big difference with other experience in Sri Lanka, well-done!

The resort has its own beach. It is conveniently located in Ahangama not far from some of the best restaurants/bars/cafes (but note that everything closes at 10pm). The staff, like most people of Sri Lanka, is wonderful (smiling, easy going, and helpful). If you ride, you can rent a scooter at a place nearby and explore other beaches and places around. If you book a day before you can have yoga with a very nice instructor overlooking the sea.

Before booking I read there's supposed to be a family kind of vibe and I couldn't imagine what that should look like. Now I can. This is truly a special place and I came back like everyone said and also like most people do. This place makes me want to come back to Sri Lanka because of the people working, staying and surfing there. Recommended it to a few people and everyone who came also stayed longer then they had thought.

Gorgeous oasis just a few minute walk from the beach. This hotell is quiet, beautiful and calm - perfect when you need to escape the otherwise busy streets of Sri Lanka, while still at the same time being close to everything. Rooms are beautiful and clean, staff is very friendly. I arrived around quite late and had no problems checking in.
